Jockel - Almost 60 years of experience innovation is our future
Since 1949 the customers have been the company's focus, and they are today. Klaus-Gerhard Jockel had a vision. He wanted to develop and produce products to make people's lives easier, better and safer. Innovations, patents of head assemblies, which simplify the use of extinguishers in case of fire al lot, were the basis of turning his vision into realitiy.
Here are the most important milestones:

At the beginning of the company's history, we meet the young engineer Emil Jockel who founded a business in selling fire extinguishers and tools in Remscheid (Goldenberg). |
| 1960 |
His son Klaus-Gerhard joined him and established a service for the installation and maintenance of fire extinguishers; the rising demand of this above-average service required the employment of extra staff. |
| 1977 |
After his fathers death, Klaus-Gerhard Jockel took over the business in second generation. |
| 1983 |
By acquiring the fire extinguisher manufacturer Taunus the entreroeneur Klaus-Gerhard Jockel ventured to produce extinguishers under the brand name Jockel. At the beginning he marketed 500 extinguishers per month: 1, 2, 6 and 12 kg permanent extinguishers. |
| 1984 |
His youngest son and today's technical director, Holger Jockel, joined the company. |
| 1986 |
To provide customers a full range of fire fighting equipment, the company startes dealing in security marking, smoke detectors, hydrants, etc. |
| since1987 |
Jockel is not only successful in Germany, but also starting business transaction with customers in Europe. |
| 1989 |
Design patent for the head of 1 and 2 kg mini-extinguishers. |
| 1991 |
First patent application for the head assembly of stored pressuere M74, simplifying the operation and maintenance of fire extinguishers. |
| 1992 |
The oldest son, Frank Jockel, becomes commercial director.

50th anniversary. |
| 2000 |
Patent application: the lockable brass squeeze grip valve enables an optimal dosage of the extinguishing agent. |
| 2001 |
The luminous printing on extinguishers ensuring a better visibility in case of power failure and smoke formation is protected as design patent and is very much in demand. |
| 2005 |
Klaus-Gerhard Jockel and his sons were entered as sole owners in the register of companies. The limited company Feuerschutz Jockel GmbH & Co. KG was founded and Frank and Holger Jockel became associates. Opening of the new, modern, company-owned training-center "At the rose garden". |
| 2006 |
January: Market launch of the mini household fire extinguisher F2J, the 2 litre domestic fire extinguisher F2J has been developed not only to deal specifically with fires resulting from cooking oils and fats, but also to fight fires of class A and B. September: Market launch of the 6 kg semi-automatic stored pressure fire extinguisher P6AJ and a back-pack version; both models convince through their simplified operation by pulling only the safety pin. |

Investments in sales, production and logistic and in their processes to increase quality and customers' service. |
During the following years, this German family of entrepreneurs and their employees built Jockel into one of today's leading companies in Germany with worldwide operations. Our drive for innovations and new developments will be centre of our way of conducting business. Good is never good enough. We are constantly at work to perfect our products and production processes, so that we can meet even better the needs of our customers' successfully and make their lives safer.
